Bohodev.com – The digital creator landscape in India is undergoing a profound transformation, driven by the rapid integration of artificial intelligence into creative workflows. According to Adobe’s inaugural Creators’ Toolkit Report, released from Mumbai, an overwhelming 97% of Indian creators believe generative AI is exerting a positive influence on the creator ecosystem. This finding signals a critical shift from viewing AI as a novel experiment to embracing it as a fundamental, indispensable component of professional content creation. The report, developed in partnership with The Harris Poll, provides a comprehensive global snapshot, drawing insights from over 16,000 creators across eight major markets, positioning India at the forefront of this technological revolution.
The data underscores India’s status as one of the world’s most dynamic and fastest-growing creator markets. A staggering 99% of creators in the country now actively utilize creative generative AI, embedding the technology deeply into every stage of the content lifecycle. The impact is tangible: 95% of respondents credit AI with accelerating the growth of their business, personal brand, or follower base. Furthermore, 85% attest that these tools empower them to produce content that would have been impossible to create manually, unlocking new realms of creativity and expanding the boundaries of what individual creators can achieve.
Practical application of AI tools reveals a highly strategic approach among Indian creators. The most prevalent use case is editing, upscaling, and enhancement, employed by 77% of creators. This is closely followed by generating new assets like images and videos (75%) and leveraging AI for ideation and brainstorming sessions (58%). Demonstrating sophistication, 89% of creators reported using more than one generative AI tool within the past three months, strategically selecting different platforms to match specific creative needs and maximize output quality. This multi-tool strategy highlights a move beyond mere experimentation toward optimized, professional-grade production pipelines.
Despite overwhelming enthusiasm, the report identifies significant challenges that threaten to temper the pace of adoption. Trust and transparency emerge as paramount concerns, with 78% of Indian creators expressing worry about their original content being used to train AI models without explicit permission. In response, creators are becoming diligent researchers; 74% rely on personal research before adopting new tools, 68% track social media trends, and 54% seek peer recommendations. Persistent barriers including high costs, unpredictable output quality, and opaque data practices continue to hinder broader, more seamless integration of AI technologies.
Looking to the future, the report identifies agentic AI—systems capable of proactively assisting with multi-step creative tasks—as the next frontier generating intense interest. A remarkable 90% of Indian creators express optimism or excitement about this development. Notably, 96% would consider using AI that learns their unique creative style, provided ultimate creative control remains firmly in human hands. The most desired applications include automating repetitive tasks, brainstorming ideas, and surfacing performance insights. Concurrently, the mobile device is cementing its role as the primary creation hub, with 81% of creators frequently using smartphones today and 89% expecting to produce even more mobile-first content as tools become increasingly powerful and intuitive.
